Photonics delegation of Turkish researchers from Ankara
Photonics encompasses all technologies related to the manipulation and interaction of light with matter. Towards this end the research in the department focuses on developing a wide range of techniques that cover a broad range of the electromagnetic spectrum to study various forms of matter. The research laboratories research of Turkish delegates are not only focused on understanding nano and bulk properties of various materials using light but also developing new tools that can be used to perform these tasks.
We are happy to host the delegation in our lab. Examples of their groundbreaking research into development of various light technologies include ultrafast fiber lasers, terahertz systems for spectroscopy and imaging as well as optical metrology solutions for industrial use. In addition, they are focused on the plasma diagnostics using both active and passive spectroscopy techniques.
